Serve Austin Sunday: August 30th

Here’s the details of this coming Sunday’s SAS projects:

Reminder: We are NOT having our regular worship service.

Join us at ONE of FIVE opportunities to serve:

1. DownTown Grill Out: (3:00-5:00pm) we will have a a good ole’ tailgate grillout for our homeless brothers and sisters in downtown Austin at 7th and Neches. We typically serve 300-400 in the two our period. This is a great time of face-to-face interaction with some great people you might not normally get to know.
2. Foundation for the  Homeless: (2:30-4:30pm) we are continuing to partner with Foundation for the Homeless to create an Organic Garden and finish landscaping at the campus where several families & children are beginning their journey off the streets.
3. Extreme Classroom Makeover -  Lanier: (2:30-5:00pm) we are partnering with Communities in Schools to create a more conducive environment for learning by remodeling and creating a theme oriented classroom serving CIS, the school, the teachers, and area students.
4. RESTORE Jackie’s: (2:30-4:30pm) – Jackie’s Academy has been a high impact servant to the south Austin community for years and provides many after school programs.  ANC is partnering with Jackie’s to beautify their campus, build shaded seating in their play areas, and do some much needed repairs.
5. childCARE: (2:00-5:30pm) – In order to assist parents who want to serve our city, but can’t due to infants and toddlers, we are providing childcare at ANC’s new facility. This means we need those who love children to help us serve those who want to serve.
